Beer and climate change

At SABMiller we want a clean world where nothing goes to waste and emissions are dramatically lower. Climate change has far-reaching consequences for our business and the communities where we operate. That is why we have set stretching 2020 targets for our business: to reduce emissions from our breweries by 50%* and to reduce the carbon footprint per litre of beer across our value chain by 25%*.

We are already making excellent progress towards these goals, having cut global carbon emissions from onsite energy use by 36% since 2008.
