La Laguna City Hall, Fecao and Compañía Cervecera Join Efforts to Revive Activity on Thursdays in Aguere

The promotion of the hospitality offer is one of the actions under the agreement signed by the three parties  

- The collaboration starts off with the initiative ‘Saborea La Laguna en miniatura,’ (Enjoy La Laguna in miniature), which will be launched this Thursday, December 12th. It will offer the best gastronomical selection of the city together with a Doradita at the best price

- A total of 50 establishments have already joined this initiative, although it is hoped to reach 100 in a short period of time

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, December 10th, 2013.- The La Laguna City Hall, the Business Federation of Hospitality, Leisure, Services and Commerce from Canarias (Fecao) and Compañía Cervecera have joined efforts by signing an agreement aimed at developing actions to promote the hospitality, leisure and commerce activities of the city.

The first of these actions will start this Thursday, December 12th, through the initiative Saborea La Laguna en miniature. It will allow the public to enjoy, on every Thursday of the year, a selection in miniature of the best dishes included in sample menus from restaurants and hospitality  establishments of La Laguna, accompanied by a Doradita, at an affordable price.

It is the first action of this kind to be carried out in a long period of time in Tenerife and initially includes the participation of 50 leisure and hospitality establishments from La Laguna, although it is expected shortly to reach over 100.

This way, the public will be able to enjoy the best gastronomical offerings from La Laguna by way of a well-accepted formula:  tapas accompanied by a Doradita, the new 20 cl bottle, at a price of €2.

This action also answers a demand from the hospitality sector to join efforts in order to develop revitalising activities during one day of the week that enjoy a growing demand from the public in regards to leisure.

The collaboration and the effort of La Laguna City Hall, Fecao and Compañía Cervecera de Canarias represents a big step in reactivating a sector with a key role in the economy from Canarias, thanks to the business generated and the employment created. In this sense, they are confident that the new initiative will contribute to promoting the hospitality, commercial and leisure activities in the privileged surroundings offered by La Laguna.

On the other hand, it is expected that with this collaboration, there will be new revitalising activities over the next year.

Such an initiative is in line with the supporting actions to the hospitality sector carried out by Compañía Cervecera de Canarias during recent months, aimed at mitigating the effects of the crisis and the reduction of consumption, especially regarding the hospitality sector.

Its latest venture in this field came with the launching of the new Dorada bottle, Doradita, an affordable format for the consumer, supporting the leisure activity and the promotion of young artists from Canarias.
