History 2001 - 2010

Historial document

SAB becomes the first international brewer to enter Central America when it acquires Honduran brewer, Cervecería Hondureña. The company also forms a joint venture with El Salvador Beverages Business, a brewery and sparkling beverage distributor.

In November, the company becomes the sole brewer and the bottler for The Coca-Cola Company in Honduras and El Salvador.

SABMiller acquires a majority interest in Bavaria S.A., South America's second largest brewer. This gives the company the leading beer market share positions in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Panama.

Our Colombian subsidiary Bavaria S.A. disposes of its Agra Brisa bottled water business and assets. The Brisa operations in Panama are excluded from the transaction.

SABMiller plc announces that it has acquired Cervecería Argentina S.A. Isenbeck (“CASA Isenbeck”), the third largest brewer in Argentina, from the Warsteiner Group.
