Santa Cruz de Tenerife, June 8th, 2012. - Paula Rivero's video has been chosen, by popular demand, as winner of the contest organised by Carlsberg in Canarias, through Compañía Cervecera, on the occasion of the UEFA EURO 2012, which will allow her to travel to Poland and attend, on June 18th, the match between Spain and Croatia, as well as going down to the field and presenting the award to the best player of the match.
Paula Rivero took on the challenge posed by Carlsberg at the end of April and presented an original proposal that will allow her to be with La Roja in the Arena Gdansk stadium. In her video, she made a call to the people of Canarias to paint their skin with the colours of the national football team and she would paint them herself. The place chosen to do that was the bus station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Her feat also included a lively bus trip, in which she called the attention of the people with support messages for La Roja.
This video was one of the three finalists that an initial jury of specialists, designated by Compañía Cervecera de Canarias, chose among the proposals the people from Canarias sent. However, the final election corresponded to the followers, through their votes on Facebook.
The other two runners-up were a choreography with the "Waka Waka" music on Mesa y López street of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria, directed by a dancer wearing a red bikini and football shoes and, the other, an original bar improvised in a house in which, through the window, offered tapas and Carlsberg beer to the pedestrians.
On the other hand, coinciding with the Spanish matches of the UEFA EURO 2012, Carlsberg will participate in the public broadcast of these matches in some of the busiest areas of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. In the case of the first match, Spain vs. Italy, which will take place next Sunday, a giant screen will be installed in Víctor Zurita square (Cuadrilátero) in La Laguna, in Príncipe square in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and in Música square in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Also, the broadcast will be carried out for the following matches of La Roja in the same places, except in La Laguna, which will be moved to Concepción square.
