Once again, Pilsen is the official sponsor of the Deportivo Independiente Medellin (Translation)

Medellín, March 5th, 2010.  Pilsen, the original taste of reward, is proud to announce that once more (after nearly five years) it has been chosen as the official sponsor of the Deportivo Independiente Medellín football club - DIM - for an initial period of two years. The official presentation of the new shirt endorsed by the most representative brand of the antioqueños, was carried out today, Friday, at the cinemas of the Oviedo Shopping Mall as part of the presentation of the "Camino del Poderoso" video.

Starting today, the players of the "Poderoso" ("The Mighty") will once more display on their chests the brand which has already accompanied the team in great moments of glory and which, unconditionally, will be present in the great challenges to come. This could hardly be more interesting, for it includes the upcoming games against the Junior of Barranquilla in Envigado this coming Saturday, March 6th for the national league, and against the Corinthians F.C. from Brazil, on the upcoming Wednesday, March 10th in "El Campín" stadium of Bogotá, for the first group of the Santander Libertadores Cup.

The last time that Pilsen was its official sponsor, the "Poderoso" managed to win its fourth cup by becoming champion of the 2004 National League - in a historic game on June 27th against Atlético Nacional - and represented Colombia in the 2005 edition of the Libertadores Cup.

Fernando Jaramillo Giraldo, vice-president of Corporate Affairs of Bavaria was pleased with the sponsorship deal: "Having reached this new agreement with the DIM directives not only strengthen the brand's emotional ties with its consumers, but also fills us with joy, for this team is a hallmark in the city, as well as being one of the oldest clubs in the country. And even more so, returning at a moment as spectacular as the one the club is going through right now fills us with satisfaction. We hope to be next to these heroes of the DIM, both the directors and players, for a long time from now. We are convinced that fantastic things are in store for the ‘Poderoso', and thus also for Pilsen."

For his part, the President of the Medellín, Jorge Osorio Ciro, said: "This is a very joyful moment for us. This is like having a dear friend back home. Both as president and as a fan of the club, I am thrilled and proud that Pilsen, a long life partner of the DIM, returns as official sponsor. Nowadays, the DIM is the greatest club in Colombia and hand in hand with Pilsen, we are confident that we will succeed even more internationally."
