Ahead of an analysts' presentation on its Chinese businesses, South African Breweries today issued a trading update for the period ended 31 August 2000.
Graham Mackay, Chief Executive commented;
Overall, the Group's financial performance was in line with expectations - ahead of prior year, with disappointing volume performance in South Africa offset by good growth in our international operations. In particular, Poland, China and the new Pilsner Urquell business have seen good performances in both volumes and profits.
