Santa Cruz de Tenerife, August 13th, 2013 - Compañía Cervecera de Canarias consolidates its commitment to quality by obtaining a new food safety certificate according to the ISO 22000 regulation. Consequently, there has been a renewal of the quality systems and environmental and work safety certificates in its factories, according to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 international regulations and the OHSAS 18001 specification.
The food safety certificate is an important step in compliance with the food laws applied to the company, and guarantees control of all the food risks that could affect the health of consumers.
For Compañía Cervecera, being able to incorporate a control for food risks throughout the whole food chain is a key element, from the buying of raw materials to the production and distribution of products in the market.
In turn, it means recognition for the quality of the products produced by the company, certifying its commitment to the safe foods market.
The implementation of this new certificate has been carried out in a short period of time, thanks to the work of all members of the group created for its implementation, and especially the managers of all the departments involved. Also, it has been done together in compliance with new ways of working for all the employees in both factories.
The new certification and the compliance with quality systems and environmental and job safety international regulations, which started in 1997, allows Compañía Cervecera to continue supporting safety as a key element in the quality of its products.
The revision of the regulations and the new certification has been done through external certifier Bureau Veritas.
