Grand final of the first children's indoor soccer tournament, Maltin Power Cup (Translation)

Lima, March 16th, 2011 - After a month of encouraging scoring and lots of goals, last Saturday, March 12th, the first children's indoor soccer tournament, Maltin Power Cup, came to an end. One hundred and sixty children participated in 16 teams in the 8- to 9- years-old and the 10- to 11-years-old categories, competing for the title of winner.

This tournament took place in the Urbanización Mayorazgo Sports Complex, where Saturday after Saturday, parents, friends and neighbours cheered for their team, encouraging the practice of sports at a very young age.

The winner of the Maltin Power Cup in the 8- to 9-years-old category was the Mayorazgo IV team, while in the 10- to 11-years-old category, the winner was the Los Cachorros team.

As well as the winner's cup, each child received a sports kit consisting of a polo shirt, shorts, a hat, socks and a Maltin Power bag and 20 Maltin Power packs.

Father Jean Pierre Teullet, parish priest of Nuestra Señora de la Cruz Church in Mayorazgo, was present at the grand final and blessed the players of the teams in those matches.

Felipe Cantuarias, vice president of planning and corporate affairs at Backus, concluded the tournament and invited the winning teams to participate in a social day with the players of Club Sporting Cristal.

In this way, the Maltin Power brand promotes the development and skills of the very young, sponsoring sporting events for the healthy joy and nutrition of children, thanks to this delicious drink.
