Cerveceria Hondureña The Most Admired Company (Translation)

28 October 2010

For The Second Consecutive Year

For the second consecutive year, the public has recognized Cerveceria Hondureña as the most admired company, bestowing upon the company the Aurum award, recognizing, among other things, the company's corporate image, advertising and promotion, prestige and tradition, product quality, brand leadership and environmental care.

This is the fourth year that the Central American Technological University UNITEC has recognized the important work that the principal companies perform in the country at the level of corporate image and the position they achieve in the market through it.

Cerveceria Hondureña stood out among more than 400 participating companies, receiving the highest number of nominations by respondents, as a company that has always set new standards through its various programs and projects to support the advancement of society.

The survey was conducted through field market research with a sample of 2,128 respondents, with a 95% level of confidence that the participants are representative of the overall marketplace.

The surveys identify which companies are most admired by consumers, as well as which ones are most prominent in consumers' minds, and Cerveceria Hondureña scored first on both counts.

Favoritism and consumer perception in Honduras is known to influence how local companies perform, and how said companies can exceed customer expectations.

The company has placed highly in both the corporate image and favorite company categories for the past four consecutive years.

Roberto Alvarez, Vice President of Corporate Affairs of Cerveceria Hondureña, said: "It is with enormous pride that we accept this recognition, which only reaffirms our commitment to promoting social responsibility and to producing a brand of high quality product." Alvarez indicated that the goal of the company's social programs is to seek benefits and better living conditions for the Honduran people.

The Aurum Awards, widely recognized for their credibility and impartiality, were created to promote continued growth and development in the dynamic and competitive Honduran marketplace.

The study

Cerveceria Hondureña benefits over 10% of the Honduran population with its business and is among the highest contributors to the treasury in taxes with about 1500 million lempiras per year.
