Around half our beer is sold in returnable bottles and kegs, which have a lower environmental impact than one-way packaging. But returnable packaging is in decline in some markets, under threat from logistical challenges coupled with consumer perceptions of the inconvenience of returning packs and the premium value of a single-use bottle.
