1. SABMiller plc (SABMiller, we, our) respects your privacy. This policy outlines the type of information we may collect for recruitment purposes and how we may use that information. By using this site and/or providing personal information, you agree to the terms of this policy and consent to the use of personal information as described in this policy. SABMiller collects certain types of information about job candidates and other users of this recruitment website and it is important that you understand the terms on which that information is collected.
The Information We Collect and How We Use it
2. There are areas in our website where we ask you for certain information. The information collected includes your name, email address, address, telephone number. We may collect and process sensitive personal data such as ethnic origin, details of any disability and religion. If you provide us with such sensitive data you consent to our using it for the purposes outlined in this privacy statement.
3. SABMiller may also seek and receive information about you from other sources such as professional networking sites and add this information to the information you have given us. [By providing us with personal information when you register with this site, you can create a profile which you can then amend as necessary and which avoids your having to provide the information every time you wish to update your details.
4. SABMiller needs your information to:
- process your application for the specific vacancy for which you have applied or in order to match your details with other vacancies SABMiller may have now or in the future which may fit your skillset;
- identify you when you make enquiries and requests;
- administer and manage data;
- anticipate and resolve problems with our website;
- customise the content you see;
- enhance the candidate experience by using tracking information to determine how well each page performs overall based on aggregate user demographics and traffic patterns to those pages;

5. You will be asked to choose a user name and password which you must keep secure and you must never disclose it to anyone. SABMiller will never send you emails asking you for your password.
6. SABMiller shall retain your personal information within our database for 2 years. We do this so that we can match your information to any future vacancies which match your skillset. If you do not wish us to keep your data, or you do not want us to match your details to other suitable vacancies, please let us know. After this period we shall delete your details from our systems unless you have become an employee of SABMiller during that period. If your information changes, please let us know.
7. SABMiller may use aggregate information. Aggregate information is data we collect about a category or group of services or users which does not identify individual candidates or from which individual candidate identities have been removed. Aggregate data may include anonymous site usage statistics or demographic information such as the first part of a postcode (eg GU12), age, gender and sensitive personal data. Information about how you use our website may be collected and combined with information about how others use the website but personal information will not be included in the resulting data. Aggregate data helps us understand trends in our users’ needs so that we can better consider new features or otherwise tailor our website. We may use and share this anonymous and aggregate data about our website with third parties for various purposes.
Sharing and disclosing information
8. We may pass your data to external agencies employed by us to assist in screening and interviewing prospective employees. Those agencies will only use that data for services provided to SABMiller and its associated companies and they will be under a strict obligation to treat the data in confidence.
