Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, July 2nd, 2013 - More than 8,000 people participated in the Fiesta Tropical Limón, that took place on Saturday on Alcaravaneras beach in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; over the course of nine hours, a wide range of leisure and sporting activities were offered to the participants.

The main attraction of the event was flyboarding, a new water activity that is causing a sensation. It allows you to fly up to 40 feet from a jet ski through water propulsion. Precisely, a total of 41 people could experienced it, generating a big expectation among the participants.

The activity that had the biggest number of participants was the giant 40 feet slide.  1,100 people used the slide as relief from the high temperature of the festive day. There was also the climbing of a wall, from which 874 participants descended via zip line to a swimming pool full of improvised “sharks”.

On the other hand, 503 people tested their endurance on a mechanical bull, 487 people took part in the human foosball competitions that took place during the event, while 356 people chose to paddle surf and 348 did a canoe tour around the waters of Las Alcaravaneras.

A dash of humour came from a PhotoMorphing device; the participants took pictures with their friends and, afterwards, they altered them changing the faces, and the comical results were shown on a screen during the celebration of the macroevent.

Also, a large number of participants managed to find their half lemon through a game of messages hidden in the "QR-Tatoo" supplied to the participants at the entrance of the premises.

On the other hand, the recycling point enabled by Tropical Limón gathered a total of 5,153 cans and plastic cups, which participants disposed of in the Tropical tent, receiving caps, t-shirts and key rings in return.

With these measures, Tropical wanted to help with the the cleanup of the premises where the event took place.

For yet another year, Tropical supports the revitalization of Las Palmas de Gran Canarias with an event aimed to implement its leisure activities, and on this occasion it wanted to highlight its new product, Tropical Limón, an innovative drink with low alcohol content, less than 2%, and natural lemon added.
