Czech Republic: Recycling waste labels from returnable bottles
At Plzensky Prazdroj, we aim to recycle or reuse as much brewery waste as possible. This year, Plzensky Prazdroj generated 159,317 tonnes of waste, of which 98.77% was reused or recycled. For example, spent grains, yeast and other malting commodities are used as fodder in the farming industry; cullet, waste foils, cartons and scrap metal are completely recycled and dust from barley processing is used in the production of alternative fuel.
