Compañía Cervecera Donates 6,080 Euros to the Ademi Tenerife Club’s Sports for All Project (Translation)

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, February 23, 2011. - Compañía Cervecera (The Beer Company) has delivered to the sports organization for handicapped people, Ademi Tenerife, a check for the sum of 6,080 euros, corresponding the donation of ten euros for each of the 608 people who finished the 20th-Century Santa Cruz de Tenerife Half-Marathon, this November 7, held in the capital and sponsored by the beer enterprise.
In the ceremony, the delegated advisor of Compañía Cervecera, Mark Tindall, and Ademi Club president, Carlos Correa, were both present.
With this initiative, Compañía Cervecera hopes to encourage the development of the Sports for All project, whose main objective is focused on the promotion of athletic activities among the approximately 1,000 handicapped people who live in the southern part of the island, aside from benefiting their social integration.
Likewise, the project hopes to boost sports activities adapted to the southern area of the island reaching from Arico to Santiago del Teide.
The Compañía Cervecera donation will allow activities of this nature to be developed in the Center for Functional Diversity in Mojon, promoted by the township of Arona.
This initiative's development is part of the social investment actions that the Compañía Cervecera carries forth parallel to its industrial activity, with which it hopes to improve the well-being of the community in which it operates.
