History

1915

The Honduran government grants a concession to elaborate and commercialize beer.

1916

The company launches SalvaVida.

1925

In San Pedro Sula, Compañía Industrial Hondureña is formed. It operates a beer, ice and soft drinks plant.

1928

The Coca-Cola distribution starts. Cervecería La Unión is established in San Pedro Sula.

1930

The Company launches Imperial.

1935

Cervecería Hondureña is born after the merging of Compañía Industrial Ceibeña and Cervecería Unión.

1952

The company opens its new offices in San Pedro Sula.

1955

Cervecería Hondureña launches Cerveza Nacional.

1962

Cervecería Hondureña acquires administrative control of Cervecería Tegucigalpa; in 1965 they merge in one company.

1965

Cervecería Hondureña is the only brewing company in Honduras.

1972

Opening of the Soft Drinks plant.

1983

The company launches Port Royal premium beer, which it plans to export to the United States.

2001

Cervecería Hondureña becomes part of SABMiller.

2004

The company launches Barena, a new Pilsner beer.

2008

The company acquires rights to distribute Miller Lite & MGD.

The distribution of the Dasani brand begins.

2011

The Coca-Cola Company recognises Cervecería Hondureña as the best plant in Latin America.

ActiMalta is launched into the national market.

Del Valle is incorporated into our portfolio.

2012

We launched Fuze Tea.
