Last week, at SABMiller's global leadership conference in Chicago, one of the sessions focused on how we can 'drive inclusive growth' as an integral part of our business model around the world.
World Water Week in Stockholm last week showed a real step forward in how companies, governments and NGOs are working together to understand and manage water scarcity, quality and access challenges.
Transparency is one of SABMiller’s Ten Priorities for sustainable development. We included it as a priority in its own right, rather than simply as an ‘enabler’ of the other nine because in order to work together to achieve a sustainable future, we need to be as open as we can.
Without water there can be no beer. It’s an obvious statement, but the ability to get enough of the right quality of water to make our great beers over the coming decades is an issue that SABMiller is putting a lot of effort into.
