On November 1st 2011 CNBC Africa covered the launch of SABMiller's cassava-based beer. It was noted that Impala fits in an affordable beer category aimed at cracking the untapped home brew market in southern Africa.
The host of Beyond Markets, Lerato Mbele, was joined by Gerry van den Houten, SABMiller Africa Supply Chain and Enterprise Development Director, who led SABMiller's development effort on cassava beer.
