Santa Cruz de Tenerife, July 3, 2009.- Compañía Cervecera de Canarias has given 127.474 units of Appletiser to the Food Banks of Canary Islands. The donated product is a 100% natural beverage, apple juice based, with no preservatives, a well accepted product in Canary Islands and plenty European countries.
The current economic context has caused an increase in the food product demand on behalf of the non-governmental organizations of the Archipelago. Compañía Cervecera de Canarias has responded to this call and has widen the usual collaboration with this type of institutions, making an extraordinary delivery to the Food Banks of Canary Islands of 127.474 units of one of its star products, Appletiser, a 100% natural beverage.
The Food Banks distribute the donated products to other charity and social service institutions to be distributed among their beneficiaries. In the case of the Canary islands, they work with 220 organizations that reach 45.034 users in the whole Archipelago.
The company, which is very loyal to its commitment to the sustainable development with the Islands, usually collaborates with different non-governmental organizations dedicated to help the most unprivileged groups of the society such as: Aldeas Infantiles, Cáritas, UNICEF, Asociación Corazón y Vida, Hermanos de la Cruz Blanca, Hospital San Juan de Dios, SINPROMI, or the Asociación Regional de Parkinson de las Islas Canarias, among others.
