The 7 Destinations of National Pride were Selected

Bogotá, April 28, 2009. Colombia es Pasión and Club Colombia announced today, Tuesday, at Bavaria's facilities in Calle 94, the Colombian places selected by Colombians as the 7 destinations of national pride. These selections were made by Colombia es Pasión to promote the most enchanting places in our geography, and to position Colombia as a country full of opportunities that offers different choices.

Finally, after 24 days of continuous voting that concluded last Monday, April 20, the destinations selected were Bucaramanga, Manizales, Santa Marta, San Andrés, Medellín, Cartagena and Armenia.

According to María Claudia Lacouture, General Manager of Colombia es Pasión, "the main acknowledgement obtained by these destinations is that they will be part of an international communication strategy that will be launched on the second semester of this year, mainly in the United States, with the purpose of using these places to strengthen the country's image abroad, and also to invite people to visit us. In other words, we hope to increase the number of investors, tourists and exporters. We want to extend our gratitude to all Colombians because they are the ones who are familiar with the destinations that we want to promote abroad which offer this special enchantment."

Andrés Felipe Rodríguez, Bavaria's corporate relations director, added that: "we are extremely grateful to Colombia es Pasión for allowing us to participate in this beautiful campaign of national pride, which will contribute not only to strengthening and improving the image of Colombia abroad, but also to promoting Colombians' pride in the country they live in, its geography and its regional wealth.

Club Colombia joined this initiative because, like the best things in life, the destinations we are announcing today have taken time to reach the level of perfection they currently offer. As Colombians may have noticed, all the destinations selected are just a sample of the greatness of our country and, above all, they are destinations that imply major pride for all of us."

The survey by Colombia es Pasión includes a special promotion by Club Colombia, whereby the brand plans to take one hundred Colombians, with their couples, to these 7 new destinations of national pride. As of May 1st, consumers will find a code printed on the crowns which will allow them to participate. In the Club Colombia multi-packs, consumers will also find codes that can be registered for free by calling 01800-9156-845 from a land line or a cell phone, or by visiting www.cervezaclubcolombia.com.

The prize includes airline tickets, airport-hotel transfers, double accommodation and one city tour to the sites of interest. Prizes are top-quality - business-class tickets, 5 star hotels, the best restaurants in the city, and the most exclusive tours for 4 days and 3 nights. These trips will be made between August and October of this year.

Each week, 12 winners will be selected for 7 weeks, and finally, 16 winners will be selected in the last raffle.  These raffles will be broadcasted every week on the national channels, where the names of the winners will be announced. These names will also be published on the Web page.
