John Manzoni joins SABMiller board

The Board of Directors (“the board”) of SABMiller plc (“the Company”) is pleased to announce that Mr John Manzoni has agreed to accept an invitation to join the board as an independent, non-executive director, with effect from 1 August 2004.

Mr Manzoni (age 44) holds the position of Chief Executive, Refining and Marketing at BP plc and is an executive director of BP plc. He has advanced degrees in civil and petroleum engineering and a Masters degree in Business Management from Stanford University.

The Chairman of SABMiller plc, Meyer Kahn said “We welcome most warmly John Manzoni to the Board, his experience and skills position him to make a unique contribution to the company as a non executive director"
