SABMiller Appoints Director: Finance and Control

SABMiller plc (SABMiller), one of the world’s leading brewers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Watts as Director: Finance and Control, effective 3 September, 2007. He succeeds Steve McAdam who joined SABMiller some three and a half years ago with a specific remit to restructure the Finance function; this task is now complete.

Reporting to Malcolm Wyman, SABMiller’s Chief Financial Officer, Jonathan joins the business from Unilever plc, where he was Senior Vice President – Reporting and Information, reporting to the Group Deputy CFO. During his 20-year career with the company, he held other positions as Senior Vice President - Finance (Unilever Foods, Latin America) and Finance and Information Management Director, Unilever Chile.

Jonathan will be based in the UK and be responsible for the management of the Group Finance Division.

Commenting on his appointment, Malcolm Wyman, Chief Financial Officer, said:
