A New Independent President Helps Dreher Breweries' in Responsible Communication

Bálint Nagy has joined the company's self-regulatory board
Budapest, February 10th, 2014.- Marketing communication specialist Bálint Nagy will preside over Dreher Breweries Ltd.'s Responsible Consumer Communication Supervisory Board beginning in February.
As a responsible beer manufacturer and distributor, Dreher Breweries Ltd. applies stricter ethical codes and regulations to commercial and marketing activities than those defined by the E.U. and Hungarian self-regulatory guidelines. The Responsible Marketing and Sales Committee has been operating within the company as part of its strict internal control since 2007. Members of the single body, which represents several areas of expertise, such as production, trade marketing and company relations; company development and legal oversight; and all marketing and sales concepts and advertisement materials to make sure they comply with previously mentioned external and internal regulations. It is also required that the committee be presided over by an external, independent professional in order to ensure objective decision-making.
Recognised marketing communication professional Bálint Nagy will take over the presidential post starting in February of this year. Beginning in 1995, he was the communication director of Matáv Group (later called Hungarian Telekom) for 11 years and he supervised the change of branding from Matáv to Telekom. Between 2006 and 2009, he was the president of the Hungarian Advertising Association, and subsequently he was the communication director at Vodafone for 1.5 years. He has been teaching in the Marketing Department of the International Business School since 1995 and has been the department head since 2009. Between 2008 and 2010, he was member of the National Cultural Fund's Steering Committee.
Moreover, Dreher Breweries Ltd. is also actively taking part in several self-regulatory bodies of work. It is a member of the Advertising Self Regulatory Board (ÖRT) and of the Association of Hungarian Brewers (MSSZ). The company considers the professional organisation's ethical codes and resolutions as binding and not only applies self-regulation of the beer industry but supports its development. Dreher Breweries Ltd. started the Responsible Alcohol Consumption Programme (www.alkohol.info.hu) in 2008 in order to promote civilised, moderate alcohol consumption and help consumers with information on alcohol consumption and professional opinion. In 2013, the programme was awarded the Best CSR Solution Prize.
