The brand of Compañía Cervecera sponsors for the third year in a row the most international holiday in the island
- This is the first year the brand is adding a new series of cans to go along with the bottles, including one dedicated to the holiday in Las Palmas
- With this initiative, Compañía Cervecera confirms its commitment with Los Indianos, in line with the events that it has been carrying out over the last few years
Santa Cruz de La Palma, February 5th, 2014 - Dorada, official sponsor of Los Indianos in Santa Cruz de La Palma, will again be present for the most international holiday in Las Palmas, presenting a limited edition of 83,000 aluminium bottles and 156,000 cans displaying designs inspired by the event.
The announcement was presented this morning at Santa Cruz de La Palma City Hall, with Juan José Cabrera, City Mayor; Marta Poggio, Major Festivals Councillor; and Elías Rosales, Director of Sponsors from Compañía Cervecera all in attendance.
In this case, Compañía Cervecera wanted to present its new campaign De Carnaval, aquí sabemos, (Here we know about the carnival) in La Palmas. The campaign, featuring Doctor Purpurino, aims to make known the symptoms of people who attend the carnival. Each of these symptoms have been depicted on one of the three new designs on the bottles and cans. The symptoms are Infectious Dancing, inspired by the Las Palmas holiday, as well as Compulsive Friendship and Contagious Laughs.
Apart from the new aluminium bottles and cans designed with the most representative characters of Los Indianos, Dorada will be present at the party with a Cuban conga band of musicians from Santa Cruz de La Palma. The conga band will entertain the streets of the city during the most important days.
The above mentioned band will play on March 2nd and 3rd on the streets of the city. On the 3rd, coinciding with the celebration of Los Indianos, they will present the Los Indianos song, and later they will join Negra Tomasa upon her arrival.
With these actions, Dorada again confirms its commitment to the Santa Cruz Carnival, supporting the development of cultural and leisure activities on the island, as well as the promotion of a holiday with significant roots, which is growing ever larger abroad.
Dorada’s support of the holiday in Las Palmas has transcended the islands with international recognition from the Brewery Collectibles Club of America (BCCA). One of the most prestigious international organisations in beer collectibles, the BCCA has recognised the tribute to Los Indianos in the new aluminium bottles.
