Lima, December 17th, 2013 - Backus Premium Brand continues to surprise its consumers with the recent introduction of the Quinua Special Edition of Cusqueña Beer, which continues inviting people to enjoy life.
“For this new variety of Cusqueña Beer, the collaboration of the consumers has been very important,” pointed out Edwards Taboada, Director of Cusqueña Brand. “Because they voted, through the web page, for the main ingredient of the special edition. This was added to Backus’ brew masters’ experience and the final recommendations given by Gastón Acurio. I’m very proud of the final product that has resulted from this large sum of contributions,” he explained. “That’s why I trust it’s going to have a very good acceptance among the people who try it.”
As recalled on December 8th and thanks to the votes on the brand web page, quinoa beat the orange, golden berry, maca, elderberry and corn to be the main ingredient of this new edition. This happened after a month-long digital campaign, with the goal of co-creating this new and unique brewing proposal.
The Quinua Special Edition of Cusqueña Beer has a content of 750 ml and it’s made with products of the best quality: pearl quinoa, selected malted barley, corn, hints of orange and peach, hops and natural pure water, giving it a unique aroma and flavour.
It is worth mentioning that the packaging and the bottle are aspects that have been carefully designed. This way, Cusqueña Quinua Beer comes in a box with golden details, while in the bottle it highlights the carved image of Machu Picchu, an important icon of its home town, Cusco.
This new product will be available in major supermarkets, convenience stores and shops nationwide starting December 15th, at a retail price of S/. 10.00.
