Dorada’s aluminum bottle, which pays tribute to Los Indianos, is awarded an international prize

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, October 10th, 2013. The innovative policy carried out by Compañía Cervecera de Canarias in its products has received another international award. This time, Brewery Collectibles Club of America (BCCA), one of the most prestigious international institutions in terms of beer packaging collections, has awarded Dorada’s aluminum bottle, which was launched during the 2013 Carnival and pays tribute to Los Indianos.
The aforementioned association, whis has more than 4000 beer item collectors worldwide, awarded Dorada within the category Foreign Aluminum Bottle of the Year during the celebration of its latest convention in Fort Wayne (U.S.A.).
The bottle was presented by Argentinean collector Juan Carlos de Marco, who introduced it at the 43rd international BCCA convention. The proposal was later subjected to a selection process among 200 aluminum bottle collectors, through one of the internal groups of the association.
Finally, its original design and aesthetics were the main aspects put forward by the participants at the time of voting for the Dorada bottle, which was supported by a large majority of the jury.
The prize was presented by Juan Carlos de Marco to Luis Durango, Communications and International Relations Director of Compañía Cervecera de Canarias, in the Spanish Brewers’ headquarters. Enrique Solaesa, President of the Spanish Club of Beer Collectors, and Luis de la Sierra, Treasurer of the Spanish Club of Beer Collectors, also attended the award ceremony.
