Cristal consolidates national beach soccer team for South American championship (Translation)

Lima, March 17th, 2011 - After the success of the announcement to more than 800 players in the Beach Soccer Cristal Cup throughout the country, Cristal Beer has organised a speedy tournament in which 32 selected players will participate. Only 16 of them will play for a place on the team that will represent Peru in the South American championship that takes place in Brazil on May 6th.
"With this opportunity, Cristal has the honour of gathering great talents from Peru to be part of a high-level team that will represent the country in the South American championship. And, during 2011, it will continue with the commitment of helping Peruvian sports by spreading and promoting them in different towns throughout the country," said Alberto Torres, junior manager of the Cristal brand.
The preselected players from different parts of the country will gather in Lima to participate in the tournament. The players will be divided into 4 teams and their coaches will be beach soccer stars Juan Carlos Bazalar, Juan Pajuelo, Roberto Holsen and Alfredo Carmona, who will support the players and pass on their experience.
After checking their performances, the technical unit of the national beach soccer team will carry out the final tests for each participant to determine who will be among the 16 Peruvians that will represent the country in the Brazilian championship, with the objective of being in the World Cup in Italy.
The tournament will take place this Sunday, March 20th, at Punta Negra Beach (Las Pocitas) at 10:00 a.m.
