Innovation Leaders at the Kompania (Translation)

Recently adjudicated "Kompania Innowacji" competition has selected a dozen great students who through their impressive creativity won a chance for an internship at Kompania Piwowarska for half a year. The main prize was awarded to the originator of a new beer brand called Flow!

"Kompania Innowacji" is a new internship programme at Kompania Piwowarska. The idea behind it is to support innovation and initiative among students, competences much desired by employers. The competition task was to propose an innovative solution within three areas: portfolio of brands, company image and beer production technology.

The Competition and the Golden Dozen
88 participants entered the competition and out of them a dozen finalists were selected. Marketing seems to have been the most popular area of interest.

"The presented works occasionally surprised us with their originality, diversity and at times, with their manner of delivery," reports Barbara Zawadzka from the HR Department of KP, author of the programme. "They varied from interesting ideas for new products like energy drinks based on beer, or gluten-free beer, through much advanced analyses and strategies regarding our image, all the way to production technologies that would allow for substantial savings."

Innovation Leader
The commission unanimously awarded the first prize to the project of a new beer brand called Flow, with the slogan of "Freedom Means Diversity." The project was designed by Sonia Tomalak, a student of psychology at Wrocław University.

"Compared to the other entries, Sonia's work was the most innovative and comprehensive.  Her multidimensional analysis and accuracy of solutions used in her concept were also not unimportant," comments Barbara Zawadzka.

The final dozen will be invited to participate in the process of recruitment, which will select three people. And it is something to fight for! The best three will be offered a six-month-long paid internship at Kompania Piwowarska's departments of Marketing, Production or Human Resources, respectively.

It is only possible with people who are curious about the world, creative and non-submissive, but at the same time highly motivated and disciplined enough to implement new ideas," says Wioletta Rosiejak, Innovation Manager at Kompania Piwowarska.
