PLZEŇSKÝ PRAZDROJ HAS A NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (Translation)

Plzeň, October 14, 2009 - Effective November 16th of this year, Doug Brodman has been nominated to be Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Board of Directors of Plzeňský Prazdroj. Doug Brodman will replace Mike Short, who, after a successful four and a half years as the head of Plzeňský Prazdroj, left on September 30 for SABMiller London headquarters.

Doug Brodman is an American. He has been working in the beer industry for twenty eight years. In 1999 he joined Miller Brewing Company, which is present on the American market
as part of the global SABMiller group.

Since 2006, Doug first ran Miller Brewing International and after that Market Development Americas. Before this he was the Senior Vice President for business and distribution at Miller Brewing Company.

Doug Brodman studied management at St. John's in New York, USA; he also finished his MBA at Hofstra University.

Doug Brodman is married and will move to Czech Republic together with his wife Terry and his daughter Jennifer.
