"World's Most Refreshing Beer" on Board for Fifth Year as
Official Beer Sponsor of City's Premier Athletic and Spectator Event

CHICAGO (September 10, 2009) - Coors Light, Manhattan Beer Distributors and New York Road Runners announced today that Coors Light will return as the official beer sponsor of the ING New York City Marathon 2009, scheduled for November 1.

This is the fifth year as an official sponsor for Coors Light, which will offer "refreshment as cold as the Rockies" to race participants and fans at post-race parties across Manhattan.  The brand also will provide beer for all official hospitality events leading up to the race.

Coors Light also is partnering with New York Road Runners to present the "Race to Refreshment," which will give legal-drinking-age consumers the chance to receive a "Race to Refreshment" gold medal.  Consumers will have five weeks to collect stickers from participating retailers.  The promotion runs from September 15 through November 8; official rules can be found at and
