Diplomats From Around The Eu Visit Radegast Brewery

Nosovice, 22 May 2009 - On Friday 22 May, diplomats from all 27 EU member states visited Radegast brewery in Nošovice. The members of the Permanent Representatives Committee "Coreper" took a look at the production of Moravia's favorite beer during their visit of the Moravian-Silesian region. This event is a part of the Czech presidency of the European Union. Radegast supplies its Birell nonalcoholic beer to official social and political functions during the Czech presidency of the EU.

Coreper consists of ambassadors of all 27 countries of the EU. The Czech representative is Ambassador Jana Reinišová. Coreper committee plays a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the EU Council, as it, among other things, prepares its agenda. It also coordinates the activity of about 250 committees.

Jiří Mareček, Plzeňský Prazdroj press agent says about the visit: "The Czech beer has unique characteristics. In Radegast brewery, we produce Moravia's best-selling beer and we certainly have something to present not only to Czech tourists, but also to visitors from all Europe."

During their program in the region, the diplomats are also going to visit the castle in Hradec nad Moravicí or the Hukvaldy castle.
