New Group Marketing appointments for SABMiller

SABMiller announces new appointments within its group marketing function, which manages the company’s international premium brands – Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Pilsner Urquell, Miller Genuine Draft and Grolsch.
Chris Taylor is appointed to the new position of Group International Brands Director, responsible for the portfolio of SABMiller International brands – with the four international brand directors reporting into him. Chris was previously the International Brand Director for Peroni Nastro Azzurro since its launch in 2005 and subsequent roll out in 15 markets around the world.
Peroni Nastro Azzurro is currently one of the fastest growing beer brands in the world and the fastest growing premium beer in the UK. Prior to that Chris was Marketing Director SABMiller Europe based in Budapest.
Group Marketing Director Nick Fell says: “The appointment of Chris to this newly-created role will ensure closer coordination across our international brands in the global marketplace and more effective sharing of best practice and systems. With the recent acquisition of Grolsch, our international portfolio is ideally positioned to increase SABMiller’s market share in the fastest growing segment of the global beer market. ”
In addition, Pam Powell is appointed to the new position of Group Marketing Strategy and Innovation Director, responsible for the elements of SABMiller's strategic agenda relating to top-line value growth. The role reflects the growing importance of innovation to the development of full and differentiated portfolios and the need to coordinate innovation with the broader commercial strategy.
Pam was previously the International Business Development Director, responsible for premium brands portfolio development and for supporting markets on key strategic projects. Prior to that Pam was SABMiller Group Marketing Innovation Director.
