Tropical launches the first edition of bottles and cans with thermocromatic labels in Canarias (Translation)
13 June 2012
- The new label allows the consumer to see, through the change in its colour, when the beer is at the proper temperature for consumption
- This initiative will be carried out for all Tropical bottles and cans commercialized in hospitality establishments and food retailers from now until the end of summer
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, June 12th, 2012. - Tropical has just launched the first edition of bottles and cans with a thermocromatic label sold in the Islands, making it a pioneering brand in the food and beverage area of the Islands.
The label incorporates a cold indicator, represented as a thermometer that changes colour, from white to blue, when it reaches the right temperature, six degrees Celsius. Nevertheless, the change in colour can also be seen when the temperature of the container reaches 8 degrees Celsius.
The new labels are already available in the Islands, replacing the regular Tropical labels on cans, returnable 33 centilitre bottles and non-returnable 25 centilitre bottles for the rest of the summer.
These newly-labelled containers are being distributed by hospitality establishments and food retailers.
The addition of these new labels is part of Compañía Cervecera de Canarias' commitment to innovation in its brands. In this case, the emphasis has been put on adding a label that allows the Canarias consumers to enjoy the highest quality of a product that reaches its peak in consumption during the summer months.
