Czech Savings Bank's Specialized MTB Team has a new force at hand – Birell became a part of the team (Translation)

11 January 2012

Non-alcoholic beer brand Birell has become the third most significant partner of Czech Saving Bank's Specialized Team in January. It will support, next to the other cyclists, also Pavel Boudný, Kristián Hynek, Dominik Buksa, Petr Šťastný, Jiří Daňek, and Denisa Stodůlková.

"Birell has supported cycling for a long time now. We can see it being a part of professional as well as amateur races. We are involved in cycling exactly the same way," explained Radim Kořínek, Team Manager. Birell became a member of the successful cycling team whose members take part in, for example, the Czech biggest races series Cycle for Life this year. "Supporting cycling is our long-time priority. We have decided to focus primarily on Czech races. We would like to popularise them more as well as to attract new but not just young bikers. We have to admit that cycling is one of the most popular sports in our country. It is basically a sport for anyone, and so we want to make cycling races accessible to as many people as possible," added Martina Kuncová, Birell Brand Manger. "I am convinced, we will make an unbeatable team with Birell," concluded Radim Kořínek. The first race with a new sponsor awaits the team by the end of February in Spanish Andalusia where Pavel Boudný and Kristián Hynek will attempt to defend their victory in a stage race of race pairs.

Czech Savings Bank's Specialized MTB Team white-blue colors are worn also by the third European Junior, three-time Czech Champion, and 2011 Czech Marathon Champion Pavel Boudný, and a promising cyclist Kristián Hynek. Professionals of the CSB Specialized MTB Team are led by 2000, 2004 Olympic Games participant Radim Kořínek. Amateur cyclists wanting to compete are not forgotten in the team as well. The gates of race series Cycle for Life are wide open just for them.
