- The awards were given by the International Taste & Quality Institute, which every year acknowledges producers and distributors that bet on quality

- These distinctions add to the gold medals recently obtained by Compañía Cervecera de Canarias from the International Institute of Quality Selection Monde Selection

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, July 4, 2011 - Compañía Cervecera de Canarias has received two awards in less than a month, after the International Taste & Quality Institute, an independent organisation of chefs and sommeliers based in Brussels, included again this year in its Superior Taste Award beers Dorada Pilsen, Dorada Especial and Dorada Sin, each receiving two stars in an acknowledgement of their quality.

This acknowledgement adds to the gold medal given by the International Institute of Quality Selection Monde Selection to beers Dorada Pilsen, Dorada Especial and Dorada Sin within its World Selections 2011 event.

The International Taste & Quality Institute is dedicated to tasting and promoting food and beverages. In order to form the jury that gives away these  awards, the ITQI works in association with the 12 most prestigious culinary institutions in Europe, such as France's and Belgium's  Maîtres Cuisiniers; the Academy of Culinary Arts; the Federation of Chef Associations; the Académie Culinaire of France; the Academy of Culinary Arts; Spain's Associations of Chefs; Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe; Federazione dei Cuochi Italiana; the Hellenic Chef's Association; Verband der Köche Deutschlands; Euro-Toques; and the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI).

This award adds to those recently obtained by Dorada Pilsen, Dorada Especial and Dorada Sin, when they received the gold medal from the International Institute of Quality Selection Monde Selection during their event, Monde Selections 2011. Also, since Dorada Pilsen received the gold medal for three years in a row, it received an additional award: the International High Quality Trophy 2011, given for the first time to a Spanish brand.

This consolidates the acknowledgement of the products from Compañía Cervecera de Canarias by various international organisations, after the company's bet on making its first priority the quality of its products.
