Peroni brought to Colombia one of the most renown fashion critics of the world (Translation)

Bogotá, July 7th, 2010. As a guest of Peroni, in conjunction with Sutex and Proexport, fashion critic Candy Pratts Price came to Colombia last week. As one of the most influential figures in the world of high couture, Mrs. Pratts Price headed a private viewing in which she got to know the collections of nine of the country's most important designers. Mrs. Pratts Price is the current fashion director for Style.com, the online version of Vogue and W magazines, and is considered the most influential woman of Hispanic descent in the world of international fashion.

The creations which Pratts Price was able to assess came from the studioss of Mónica Holguín, Leal Daccarett, Amelia Toro, Mabel Palacio, Johanna Ortíz, Maria Luisa Ortíz, Francesca Miranda, María Elena Villamil and Beatriz Camacho. They were close to 40 designs crafted with Sutex fabrics.

During her stay in the country, Candy Pratts Price will also hold meetings with representatives from the most important brands in bathing suits, lingerie and fur accessories such as Ángela Gutiérrez, Amulette, Touché, Agua Bendita, Vicky Moreins and Onda de Mar.

After her stay in the Colombian capital, Pratts Price visited Cartagena, being a guest of honour in Silvia Tcherassi's boutique hotel. In "La Heroica," she met with Esteban Cortázar, renowned Colombian designer. She also took part in a tour through the Rosario Islands, where she was out of sight of the cameras.

Candy Pratts Price has dedicated over two decades to fashion, movies, magazines and television. Born in New York of Puerto Rican parents and a journalist by trade, she has been vice-president of Ralph Lauren and consultant for the magazines Vogue and W. She currently holds the position of executive director of Style.com, is a facultative member of the Parsons school, fashion director of Harpers Bazaar and advisor to Starwood Hotel & Resorts. She was recently awarded the Premio Orgullo (Pride Award) from the Hispanic Federation and is a frequent guest of television shows such as Good Morning America, The Today Show, CBS Early Show and Fashion Television, among others.
