Lima, May 28, 2010.- Cusqueña beer has added one more success to its long list of awards by receiving the "Great Classic Brand" award, a recognition that highlights the trajectory, stability and success achieved by this brand on the Peruvian market.
Mr. Carlos Agualimpia, Backus Marketing Vice-President, received the award at a special ceremony. He was accompanied by the brand's marketing team and stated: "This award acknowledges the detail and care with which we make Cusqueña beer. Thanks to the strategy and teamwork applied, we have made it one of the most recognized and preferred brands by local and international consumers".
The 2007 repositioning strategy placed the brand as the only Premium beer made in Peru. The beer is native from Cusco and it has a longstanding national and international trajectory. It is produced with care, detail and the highest standards of quality. It is worth noting that Cerveza Cusqueña success transcends the local market, having achieved significant acceptance in international markets.
This awards ceremony is carried out once a year as a way of highlighting, encouraging and rewarding marketing and advertising strategies that are most effective at achieving goals.
Cusqueña is Backus's portfolio national Premium beer. According to the CCR, this April, Cusqueña reached 13% market participation at a national level. It has also shown great growth in several other markets.
