Grolsch and De Graafschap extend sponsor contract (Translation)

8 April 2010

Royal Grolsch N.V.

Enschede/Doetinchem, 7 April 2010

On Thursday, 8 April 2010, soccer organisation De Graafschap and beer brewer Grolsch will sign a contract to extend the sponsorship of De Graafschap by Grolsch. The agreement stipulates that both parties agree that Grolsch will financially support the Doetinchem soccer club for a long period of time. With that, Grolsch will remain De Graafschap's and its stadium De Vijverberg's exclusive beverage and beer supplier.

In extending the contract, Grolsch will again combine its two passions: soccer and the region! Fun and relaxation is what connects Grolsch to soccer. Grolsch is very proud of having East Netherlands as its home base, of the many soccer clubs in the area and of course, of its beer. De Graafschap can enhance the Grolsch brand and with this agreement, Grolsch enhances soccer in East Netherlands.

"With the signing of the contract, De Graafschap will be financially supported for a longer period of time by a big and reliable partner. For years, Grolsch has been a great sponsor for us. Agreements such as this one, will further aid De Graafschap in its professionalisation," comments Henk Bloemers, Commercial Director of De Graafschap.

Knowing that sponsorship of regional sport clubs intensifies the bond with regional customers, Grolsch has previously joined the select company Stersponsors van Eredivisievoetbalclub FC Twente, and also sponsors Go Ahead Eagles, Heracles Almelo and AGOVV.

Editorial note

We welcome all media to be present at the signing of the agreement, which will take place on Thursday, the 8 April, at 4:30 PM in Stadion De Vijverberg, Lijsterbeslaan 101A Doetinchem. The contract will be signed by Henk Bloemers, Director of Commercial Business of De Graafschap, and Stefan Rebergen, Director of Horeca Grolsch.

To celebrate De Graafschap's championship, Grolsch has developed special championship coasters. In several supermarkets and liquor stores in De Graafschap's area of support, customers will receive a roll of championship coasters (65 coasters) with the purchase of a crate or multi-pack of Grolsch beer. In addition, the coasters will be supplied to several different Grolsch catering locations in De Graafschap's area of support, including, of course, De Vijverberg.
