SABMilller RUS Employees: We Want to Help a Children’s Home
26 August 2009
In August 2009 SABMiller RUS regional office employees visited the orphanage "Rozhdestvensky" (Krasnodar) just to help kids.
Employees from the Krasnodar SABMiller RUS office team - from managers to sales representatives - took part in the event. Everyone participated in the event at one's own initiative.
Our employees painted walls in the dormitories, cleaned the ground floor from construction garbage and mowed lawns at the territory of the orphanage. The idea of this event was put forward by employees of SABMiller RUS. When asked the question "If you had an opportunity to spend one day to make a difference for the city or for the country, what would you do?" the majority said, "I would go and help orphans."
"When you talk to children and help them, you experience such unforgettable feelings that stay with you for the rest of your life," says Denis Likhatsky, Regional Sales Manager. "It is very important for us to understand that we work in a company that supports initiatives coming from its employees. This gives us an opportunity to feel like a real team that is fit to win."
"It is not the first time an activity has been organised by SABMiller RUS. Participation in charity social projects on the initiative of our employees has become a constant practice in our company, and this is great! This means that people working in our company are not indifferent to the problems of others and to the problems of the region they live in. Our people are really ready to help those who need their help and to do that sincerely, that matters a lot," says HR Director of SABMiller RUS, Elena Mikhailova.
