Grolsch takes off onboard British Airways
26 August 2009
Passengers flying with British Airways will be able to enjoy Grolsch while they travel, following a deal to serve the iconic Dutch lager onboard BA aircraft.
The three-year distribution and marketing deal will also see Grolsch listed in BA's premium lounges, including the new state-of-the-art facilities in Heathrow's T5.
Ronald van Amerongen, International Brand Director for Grolsch, said: "Grolsch Premium Lager is an iconic beer brand and we're very excited that British Airways passengers all over the world are going to be able to enjoy it. SABMiller has global ambitions for Grolsch and the listing with BA plays an important role in giving discerning international travellers access to Grolsch."
British Airways is the UK's largest international scheduled airline with the largest fleet, around 230 aircraft. In 2008, BA carried over 33 million passengers, flying to approximately 150 destinations in 75 countries.
