Emilio León commands at the Pilsner Urquell golf tournament

- II edition of the tournament which took place at the Bandama golf course.

Las Palmas of Gran Canaria, July 14th, 2009.- This past Saturday, El Real Club de Golf from Las Palmas became the stage for the 2nd Pilsner Urquell Golf Tournament by Compañía Cervecera de Canarias, where 120 participants fought to get the perfect hole under the indistinct Stableford singles system of eighteen holes.

Emilio León Boissier, who started out at 8:50 a.m., rose to victory after a competition which was extended for six hours. The award ceremony took place along a barbecue dinner at the Club headquarters, where all players received a gift courtesy of Compañía Cervecera de Canarias.

Pilsner Urquell is consolidating the investment in golf sports as a sponsorship platform, in order to let the public know about the taste and texture of one of the more traditional lager beers, with a medium to low alcohol content, a certain bitterness which comes from the hops and also, an important refreshing quality.
