SAB enters the Indian market through a JV, and later acquisition of Narang Breweries

2002

The company acquires Mysore Breweries with 2 breweries in west and south

The company forms a joint venture with Shaw Wallace & Company Ltd and acquires Rochees Breweries

SABMiller acquires Shaw Wallace’s share of its joint venture and becomes the country’s second largest brewer
